These Terms of Service govern your use of the Petzy platform, including the website, services, applications, and marketplace features (collectively referred to as the “Platform”).

By accessing or using Petzy, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service and the Petzy Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with these terms, you must not use the Platform.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing the platform, or using any Petzy services, you confirm that you:

  • Accept these Terms of Service
  • Agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement

MLGR Ltd reserves the right to update or modify these terms at any time. Updated terms will be published on this page.

Your continued use of the platform after updates take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

2. About Petzy

Petzy is an online platform operated by MLGR Ltd that allows users to:

  • List pets for adoption or sale
  • Search and browse animal listings
  • Connect buyers, adopters, breeders, and shelters
  • Access pet-related services and resources

Petzy acts solely as a technology platform facilitating connections between users.

Petzy is not a broker, agent, or party to transactions between buyers and sellers.

3. Eligibility

To use Petzy, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Be legally able to enter contracts
  • Provide accurate information when registering

By creating an account, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

Petzy may refuse service, restrict access, or terminate accounts where eligibility requirements are not met.

4. User Accounts

When creating an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Keep your login credentials secure
  • Maintain updated contact details
  • Accept responsibility for activity on your account

You must not:

  • Share your account with others
  • Create multiple accounts to bypass restrictions
  • Use another user's account without permission

MLGR Ltd reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts involved in suspicious or fraudulent activity.

5. Listing Guidelines

Users who post animal listings must ensure that:

  • All descriptions are truthful and accurate
  • Breed, age, and health information is disclosed
  • Any known medical conditions are clearly stated
  • Images accurately represent the animal being listed

Listings must comply with:

  • UK animal welfare legislation
  • Local council regulations
  • Breeding and licensing laws where applicable

Petzy reserves the right to remove listings that:

  • Contain misleading information
  • Violate animal welfare standards
  • Breach applicable laws or platform guidelines

6. Prohibited Listings and Content

The following content is strictly prohibited:

  • Endangered or protected species
  • Animals obtained illegally
  • Animals involved in animal fighting or cruelty
  • Fraudulent or deceptive listings
  • Misleading health or breed claims
  • Stolen animals
  • Duplicate spam listings

Petzy may remove prohibited listings without notice and may permanently suspend accounts involved.

7. Transactions Between Users

All transactions conducted through Petzy occur directly between buyers and sellers.

Petzy:

  • Does not guarantee the health or condition of animals
  • Does not verify ownership of animals listed
  • Does not act as an escrow or payment intermediary unless explicitly stated

Users are responsible for:

  • Verifying seller credentials
  • Inspecting animals before purchase or adoption
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable animal welfare laws

Petzy strongly encourages responsible adoption and purchasing practices.

8. Payments and Fees

Petzy may charge fees for certain services, including:

  • Premium listings
  • Featured placements
  • Advertising services
  • Subscription features

All applicable fees will be clearly displayed before purchase.

Payments made to Petzy are non-refundable unless required by law.

Transactions between buyers and sellers are separate and not controlled by Petzy.

9. Hardship Fund

Petzy may operate assistance initiatives such as the Petzy Hardship Fund, which provides financial grants to support essential veterinary care or welfare needs for pets.

Participation in such programmes is subject to separate policies and eligibility criteria.

Funding decisions are discretionary and subject to available donations.

10. Animal Welfare Commitment

Petzy promotes responsible pet ownership and animal welfare.

Users must comply with applicable legislation including but not limited to:

  • Animal Welfare Act 2006 (UK)
  • Local authority breeding regulations
  • Licensing requirements for breeders and sellers

Petzy may cooperate with animal welfare organisations or authorities where animal safety concerns arise.

11. Platform Availability

Petzy aims to maintain reliable access to the platform but does not guarantee uninterrupted service.

MLGR Ltd may:

  • Modify or discontinue features
  • Perform maintenance
  • Restrict access temporarily

We are not liable for any losses caused by service interruptions.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by UK law:

Petzy and MLGR Ltd are not liable for:

  • Disputes between buyers and sellers
  • Misrepresentation in listings
  • The health, behaviour, or condition of animals
  • Injuries or damages arising from transactions between users

The platform is provided “as available” without warranties of any kind.

Where liability cannot legally be excluded, MLGR Ltd's total liability will not exceed the total fees paid to Petzy by the user within the preceding 12 months.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by negligence
  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
  • Any liability that cannot be excluded under UK law

13. Termination

MLGR Ltd may suspend or terminate accounts where users:

  • Violate these Terms of Service
  • Engage in fraudulent activity
  • Breach applicable animal welfare laws
  • Misuse the platform

Termination may occur with or without prior notice.

Upon termination:

  • Access to the platform will cease immediately
  • Active listings may be removed

14. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, branding, and technology on the Petzy platform are owned by or licensed to MLGR Ltd.

Users may not:

  • Copy or reproduce platform content
  • Reverse engineer platform features
  • Use Petzy branding without permission

User-generated content remains owned by the user but grants Petzy a licence to display it on the platform.

15. Privacy and Data Protection

Petzy processes personal data in accordance with:

  • UK GDPR
  • Data Protection Act 2018

Information about how we collect and use personal data is outlined in the Petzy Privacy Policy.

16. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes arising from the use of the Petzy platform shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

17. Changes to These Terms

MLGR Ltd reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at any time.

Where significant changes occur, users may be notified through:
